Meal Planning & Sales 6/12-6/18

June 12, 2013 by Lauren

Clearly for Father’s Day you should cook your dad a steak and a lobster tail.  That sounds a lot like what they were suggesting for Mother’s Day.  Do yourself a favor, though, and if you buy one of these lobster tails, straighten it out by sticking a grill skewer through it, cut a slit on each side (to drizzle in butter) and then grill it.  MMMMM.

*note: these deals are for Denver and Northern Colorado in general.  Besides meat and dairy, most everything else is a national sale so check your own circular.

My Meal Plan:

  1. Steak — I have to finish up the post on this guy.  Hopefully I’ll also do a meat buying how-to.  It’ll be a New York Strip grilled (perfect for summer), but maybe I’ll have some fun and do an indoor pan seared one too.

Since I’m traveling this week there won’t be too much interesting going on.  I did leave a fridge full of Maria Alba’s Rice and other taco things too!
